Society is in a parlous condition for those who bother to look. The situation now is much worse than most people think. If the majority of people thought then they would be alarmed. The masses of people are not alarmed. They have their entertainments and diversions - television, films, the mass media, narcotics, abundant 'food' - they consume trivia while their houses burn down, believing what the politicians, bankers, the media magnates, the teachers, the so-called 'experts' say, without doubt, without question, without thought, without seeing the truth. This is foolish beyond words.

 

 

 

 

Security

Yoruk does not use 'JavaScript' (initially called 'LiveScript') to invade the privacy of your computer, no cookies are set by it, none of your computer or personal details are copied to sell to commercial companies or to be given to any government departments anywhere in the world. 'JavaScript' is used only on one page - to hide the email address from spam-robots. The unintelligent use of the ubiquitous 'JavaScript' allows anyone and any company with technical knowledge to search around and take over your computer. Don't be a JavaSheep - turn it off until you need it.

Unfortunately, this website is one of a growing rarity on the internet now. 'JavaScript' has it's uses but the vulnerabilities introduced by its ubiquitous use - which was discussed at great length by many concerned people when it was first introduced - these objections were dismissed by large, vested (commercial) interests and now allowing scripts has become a massive threat to internet security by groups and people who want to know all about you and your activities. Are you comfortable with this? Who owns your computer - you or the faceless groups who snoop around it?

Yoruk does not use Adobe Flash movies. Adobe Flash put long-term cookies deep inside your computer which cannot be removed by normal antivirus programs or setting the browser to delete cookies (look inside the .macromedia folder to see them). Happy with that? If you are then you are a danger to the internet and every sensible person who uses it. Use the free open-source PDF programs instead and be safe. Yoruk is best viewed using safe, free-software browsers that do not use copyright, closed-source, patented software. Internet Explorer has a long and sorry history of being the world's most unsafe browser for the users. Have you ever asked yourself why?

Keep the interent safe for the people to communicate with each other all over the world. Big-business and political groups want to restrict our freedom, restrict our right of free speech so they can get bigger and richer at our expense. Take back your independence by using free software that is not commercial, does not restrict your rights or what you can look at and does not spy on you and report back.
